Terms & conditions of transactions made via FacetNation.co.uk, and other important info relating to your handmade jewellery purchase.

Thank you for making a purchase from FacetNation's online shop. Please see below for details on payment, postage & returns, as well as some handy information on how to store & care for your jewellery.

Sales:

All sales are processed via PayPal. Visit https://www.PayPal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_home for information if you don't have a PayPal account.  Setting one up & using it for online payments on many websites is quick & easy, as well as secure.

Your item/s will be packed & dispatched to you as soon as possible after successful completion of the PayPal shopping cart.  As stated with each product description, some items may be listed for sale, but be out of stock, and can take up to two weeks for them to be handmade, sent for Assay & then posted to you.  Please make sure that if you need an item sooner than two weeks, that you have got in touch & checked if your item is in stock or not.  Items that are in stock at the time of checkout will usually be sent the next working day.

All packages are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, which means your item will get to you the day after they are posted.  Items sent on a Friday will get to you on the following Monday, as Saturday guarantee is a higher cost.  This can be arranged for an added fee if requested.

Postage costs £5.00 per order, so if you are looking to buy multiple items, group them into the same shopping cart, and only pay one postage fee.  All items will be sent packed in FacetNation boxes.  It is our aim to use minimal packaging to save wastage, so if ordering more than one item & you need each item individually wrapped, please get in touch after placing your order to let us know.

You will be contacted via email as soon as possible after you have completed your online transaction, and will be given details of your estimated delivery date, as well as confirmation that your payment has been received.

Returns:

If you change your mind about your purchase, please return the unused goods to us in a saleable condition & with all original packaging within 14 days from receipt, and we will offer you an exchange or a credit note. This does not affect your legal rights, including your right to claim a refund, replacement or repair where the goods are faulty or misdescribed.

If any item should be faulty, please contact FacetNation straight away, to arrange a free repair, exchange or refund.

Please arrange returns by contacting FacetNation via email or phone, and posting any unwanted items as soon as this has been agreed.  It is strongly advisable that you use a recorded or insured method of postage, as we cannot be held responsible for items being lost in the post if they cannot be tracked.  You are also responsible for paying the return postage cost.

Any refunds will be issued via your original method of payment (online, via PayPal).

Jewellery Information & Care:

FacetNation Jewellery uses precious metals only in all items.  We never use plated base metals or findings.

In line with the Hallmarking Act 1973, all Silver items weighing over 7.78g will be fully UK hallmarked.  Any items under this weight may not be hallmarked.  This service can be arranged for you though, at an additional cost to your item, and may take up to two weeks for completion.  For more information on hallmarking visit http://www.bis.gov.uk/britishhallmarkingcouncil .

Look after your jewellery by making sure it is 'last on & first off'.  Put it on after you have used any body or hair sprays or perfume, and take it off before going to bed.  Store your jewellery in the FacetNation box it came in or a jewellery box,to keep it safe & prevent damage.

Clean silver using a light buffing action with a specialist jewellery cleaning cloth.

Clean pearls & gemstones with a soft cloth.  A gentle wipe over after every wear will remove body oils & keep pearls lustrous & prevent gemstones looking dull.

Avoid silver dips with oxidised jewellery, as this will strip the oxidisation away.  It may also damage pearls & some gemstones, so use caution & read the directions on the jar carefully before using it.

Strung jewellery is threaded on polyester based threads or plastic coated steel wire for maximum strength.  Strung pieces should ideally be restrung every year if worn regularly, or every 18-24 months if worn less often.  Stringing will deteriorate quicker & therefore eventually break if you get the piece wet, store the item coiled up in a box, or have contact with perfumes, sprays & other chemicals.  Check for fraying or discoloured thread, which can be a sign that it is time to think about a restring.  FacetNation offers a restringing service on our products & also those bought elsewhere.  Please contact us to arrange a quote for repair.
